Academics & Programmes

Our curriculum combines Montessori principles with the Ghanaian national syllabus,  balancing sensorial, practical and academic learning. From early childhood to JHS, lessons are hands-on, easy to follow and connected to real world skills that build confidence and curiosity.

Montessori foundations

Early childhood learning at Dayspring is rooted in the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. We believe children are naturally curious, and between 18 months and six years, they absorb knowledge at an incredible pace. To nurture that curiosity, our classrooms are thoughtfully prepared with authentic Montessori materials that develop the five senses, language, mathematics, practical life skills, and cultural awareness.

Maria Montessori identified five core learning areas: sensorial, language, number work, practical life, and cultural subjects. At DMIS these areas  come to life through  activities like  colour tablets and touch boards that sharpen sensory perception,, phonics and word-building exercises for language development,  concrete number materials that make early maths visible and tangible, and practical life tasks that build independence and coordination.
