DMIS WINS SECOND PLACE IN 2021 NATIONAL CORE SUBJECTS QUIZ

This is the 5th edition of the competition organized by the VERBAL TRANSFORMERS OF PALFOUNDATION.

Dayspring won the ultimate prize in the first and second editions of the competition in 2017 and 2018. In 2019 Dayspring placed 3rd. The 2020 edition was cut short by the COVID 19 pandemic.

The 2021 team was the best that had ever been selected with the coaches struggling to pick a top 2. In the end the team had to resort to substitution based on the individual strengths of the contestants.

Emmanuel Quarshie the team captain is a master of General Knowledge and Science. Jesse Toboh we called ” fast and furious”, a master of the speed game. And the all-round, composed, cool and collected Nana Adwoa Omari-Yeboah. It was indeed the dream team.

We were the team to beat having obtained 61 points in the semi finals. The highest in the knockout phase.

But we were really up against a formidable but beatable opponent who gave us a good run for our money. In the end, our Achilles’ heel was our own brilliance because we gave little attention to good preparation.

Losing by one point was painful especially when we had the last chance to answer the final question.

But the grit and fight in the pupils will be marvelled at for a long time to come.

Congratulations to the team. Dayspring is really really proud of you.
