At the just ended World Robofest championship 2019 in Michigan USA, Team Cosmic Intellect placed 6th out of 52 teams from about 15 countries around the world.
Cosmic Intellect was Ghana’s Junior Team at the contest. Out of the five team members, 3 came from Dayspring Montessori International School, namely;
Bright Andoh – Chief programmer
Prince Essiaw-Adu – Chief builder
Cecil Agyapong Agyemang
The team’s coach, David Quarshie, was a former pupil of Dayspring Montessori International School and one of pioneers of Robotics in Dayspring when it was introduced in 2013.
Dayspring Montessori International School won the 1st position in the 2018 Robotics Inspired Science Education Competitions organised by the Ghana Robotics Academy foundation, paving the way for their participation in the 2019 World Robofest Championship.
The team was accompanied to the USA by the Principal of the school, Mrs Exonam Aku Agyapon-Ntra. They were away from 13th to 22nd May 2019.
